Bata Bangladesh is a multinational footwear company in Bangladesh and the largest manufacturer and retailer of men, women and children shoes in Bangladesh.
Bata, the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of footwear operating across the globe, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. Bata Shoe company operates in more than 70 countries around the world, having more than 5,000 international retail outlets and runs 27 production facilities across 20 countries.
Since 1962, Bata Bangladesh started its operation in this country and now it has two manufacturing facilities – one in Tongi (1964, Factory) and the other in Dhamrai (1988, Tannery & Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)). Bata Bangladesh has a network of 263 retail outlets located strategically in different parts of the country. Bata Bangladesh has an exclusive store at Bashundhara City Mall which is now the World’s Largest Bata Store. Bata has 13 Wholesale depots covering Bangladesh. Under these depots 471 RWD (Registered Wholesale Dealers) and 690 DSP (Dealer Support Program) stores are operating.
